ESL Family Literacy Program Family literacy classes provide English as a Second Language (ESL) academic and literacy instruction to parents at their children's school.

The adult learning community is an essential component of a healthy school. Adult learners thrive on collaborative and constructivist approaches to professional growth. Teacher practice is extended as a result of shared vision and purpose, collaboration, and reflection. These resources highlight a few ways to support adult learning communities.

This ERIC DIGEST provides an overview of collaborative learning and describes how the process of collaborative learning can become a part of formal or institutionalized adult education activities (as opposed to autonomous or independent adult learning groups).
